Well... talk about 'a good time was had by all' last Saturday at the Georgie Fame concert!
The place was packed - I hear the event sold out really quickly and had a huge waiting list - with a throng of happy people who were even happier when they drifted out at the end of what we all felt was a fantastic performance from Georgie and his very talented sons Tristan and James Powell.

We had the pleasure of seeing Georgie and His Boys the last time he was here in 2017, so we were delighted when this time he performed a completely different set with a variety of numbers, but still with the entertaining stories and anecdotes between each one - told, of course, in Georgie's own inimitable style.

Tristan plays a mean guitar and I was mesmerised by James' brilliant drumming - they've obviously inherited their legendary father's musical talents!

For a musician who has been singing, playing, writing and recording for nigh on sixty years, Georgie Fame still has that strong and amazing voice and his keyboard playing is still - if you'll pardon the pun - electrifying.
He's a showman, he's an entertainer, he's a great musician, he's funny and likeable, and boy can he belt out those fantastic songs - we had a ball!
It was a wonderful experience and I'd like to thank not only Georgie Fame and his two very talented sons but the Flavel staff for putting on such a great event.
We pinched ourselves when we were walking home - still couldn't quite believe that we'd just been to see such class musicians live just a stone's throw from our home! How lucky are we..??
Many thanks to all involved - and we hope Georgie and his sons will come back and visit us again soon...
